The Batteries Regulations came into force in the UK on 1st January 2010 and encourages companies that manufacture or import batteries to reduce the environmental impact of batteries waste. The Regulations achieve this by placing obligations on companies to finance the collection and treatment of batteries.
If you are one of the following:
• A manufacturer who places batteries onto the UK market
• An importer who imports batteries for the UK market
• You sell batteries to the general public
