The RoHS Regulations

The RoHS Regulations came into force in the UK on 1 st July 2006 and affects similar companies to the WEEE Regulations. The RoHS Regulations ban new electrical and electronic equipment from being placed on the market where they contain high concentrations of hazardous substances such as lead and cadmium. Producers and importers across the European Union are responsible for meeting the requirements of the RoHS Directive which should be implemented consistently in each EU member state.

What's involved?

Manufacturers of electrical equipment need to understand the requirements of the RoHS Regulations to ensure their products and components comply. A well managed compliance system can help you to record the products that contain the hazardous substances and control their concentration levels. This is discussed in further detail by our services.
